The gay way
A few years ago, Dutch travel agent DRM Reizen launched its gay label GayAway, “for everyone who wants to travel together freely and in a good atmosphere and share their travel experiences with others in an organized way”.
For people travelling alone there was a Roommate Matching Service (“not a dating service!”) in their group travels. They offered around 30 destinations, among which the ‘logical’ ones like Barcelona, Gran Canaria and Ibiza, but also very UNlikely ones such as Dubai and Turkey.
There were special sections that catered to women only, adults only, nudists, while other sections offered “design hotels”, or luxury accommodation. Due to its link with DRM travel, all bookings were covered by the general SGR warranty system.
Neither DRM, nor the GayAway label exist anymore.
